APPLYPILOT - PRIVACY POLICY

ApplyPilot is a browser extension that fills job application forms from a profile
you save in your own browser. This policy explains exactly what happens to your
data.

THE SHORT VERSION: everything stays on your device. ApplyPilot has no servers,
no accounts, and no analytics. The developer never receives your data.


1. WHAT WE COLLECT

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no tracking pixel, no advertising and
no telemetry.


2. WHAT IS STORED, AND WHERE

All of the following is stored locally in your browser using the chrome.storage
API. It is never transmitted to the developer.

  - Job profile (name, contact details, work history, education, links)
    -> to fill application forms

  - Resume file, if you import one
    -> to pre-fill your profile and attach it to forms

  - Saved screener answers ("question vault")
    -> to reuse your answers on future forms

  - Application log (company, role, date)
    -> to show your pipeline and export a CSV

  - Settings
    -> to remember your preferences

You can delete any of this at any time from the extension's Settings page, or by
removing the extension.


3. WHEN DATA LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

Only in one case, and only if you turn it on:

Optional AI features. If you choose to generate an AI cover letter or an AI
screener answer, the text needed for that request is sent to the AI provider YOU
configured (for example OpenAI, Google, Groq or an endpoint you host), using an
API key YOU supply. That request is governed by that provider's privacy policy.
Its default "offline templates" mode generates drafts entirely on your
device and sends nothing.

Application forms themselves are filled locally; ApplyPilot does not proxy your
form data anywhere.


4. WHAT WE NEVER DO

  - We do not sell, rent or share your data.
  - We do not use your data for advertising.
  - We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
  - We do not submit applications on your behalf - you always review and submit.


5. PERMISSIONS

ApplyPilot requests only the permissions it needs to fill forms and display its
interface, and asks for access to additional job sites at runtime, only when you
ask it to fill a form on that site. It does not read pages you have not asked it
to act on.


6. CHILDREN

ApplyPilot is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13.


7. CHANGES

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a
new "Last updated" date.
